Joseph Reading

We just wanted to post a little video clip of Joseph reading one of his books. He has been reading to us at night before we read him his bedtime stories. We wish the clip could have been longer but this is all our camera would allow. Make sure you turn your volume up. Hope you like it.

Baby Update....New Due Date

We had another ultrasound yesterday. Meghan is doing very well. She is a very healthy 5lbs 10oz. Unfortunately, I am still struggling with some health issues. After consulting with all the doctors it was decided that it would be best to deliver her early. I will have an amniocentesis to measure her lung development and if her lungs are doing well we will welcome Meghan a little earlier than expected. We are just taking it one day at a time right now, and will have a better idea of her birthday in a couple of days. It will most likely be in a couple of weeks. While she doesn't look too much different from her last picture we still posted a picture from yesterday.

Baby Update

Just thought I would give a little baby update. For the most part everything is going well. I have had some health issues in this last trimester that are proving a little challenging. However, we feel so blessed to have the best doctors here in Seattle. Our little girl was scarring her mommy and daddy and wasn't moving much, but a Non- Stress Test proved that she was doing just fine. Our big prayer right now is that her birthday will remain September 21. However, if my health continues to be stubborn then the doctors said she may have to come a little earlier. I have an ultrasound on Monday and will continue to keep updates coming.

Baby Update

We had our latest ultrasound about a week and a half ago and wanted to give everyone a baby update. Our little princess is doing well. She measured in at a healthy 3lbs 15oz. Everything looks great. Our C-Section is scheduled for September 21st. We will continue to try and keep updates on the blog.

Go West Young Man...And Bring Your Mom and Dad Too!

The Big Move was finally upon us. Below are some pictures of our crazy adventure.
The moving containers started to arrive...we had 4 total. While I packed the house, Mark single handedly packed up the containers as snugly as sardine cans. I still don't know how he did it.
Joseph spent a lot of time eating snacks and watching videos on his little DVD player while we were packing up. I don't think he minded too much though.

Finally, after MANY agonizing days...and nights, we were ready to go. The containers were on their way to Seattle, we were shortly behind.

Our first visit was to Grandma and Grandpa in West VA. It was a great visit!

Take a look outside of Joseph's window. This was taken around 1:00 in the afternoon. We were in South Dakota and suddenly came into a storm. I have never seen anything like it. First it became very, very dark and then started raining. They called it "White Out" conditions. The rain was coming down like we were driving through a waterfall. Visibility was zero. It was very scary. We thanked God that we made it through safely.

Visiting Cousin Hailee, Uncle Bill and Aunt Julie in South Dakota.

Joseph just loved playing with Hailee.

We couldn't resist making a short stop to the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Joseph and Daddy at the Corn Palace. The pictures behind were made from Corn on the Cob.

Joseph found a new friend at Wall Drug in Wall, South Dakota.

This picture is from our Mitchell stop, but I put it out of place. I couldn't resist capturing my guys acting "corny".

We finally made it to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Here Joseph and Daddy are waiting for Old Faithful to blow.

Just like clockwork she gave us a spectacular show. Sadly, we don't have any pictures of animals to show for our visit. They just didn't seem to want to come out. Even though it is Summertime, Joseph was convinced that they were all hibernating.

I just had to capture this picture as we were driving into The Great Northwest in case there was any doubt about Seattle's rain. However, we have had some gorgeous days since we have been here. In fact we are in a bit of a heat wave right now.

Joseph playing with a new cousin, Patrick, at Aunt Gail's home on our first night in Seattle.

It has been a long haul, not to mention a little stressful, but we are all very happy to be getting settled.
